UET TOUR
PARTICIPANT CONTRACT- TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PRICES
The prices quoted by UET, Inc. for
tours include, unless otherwise indicated: all transportation, all lodging
in hotel class stated, and only meals as stated in their respected programs.
They DO NOT include: expenses of a personal nature; passport and visa fees;
end-of-trip gratuity for the tour guides, tour manager and bus drivers.
All prices are subject to change without notice, should there be any revision
in tariff, cost, and/or exchange rates. UET reserves the right to re-invoice
you in case of verbal or written errors made in computing your tour price.
METHODS OF
PAYMENT
A $400 deposit per person shall be
submitted to UET with a completed reservation form. All checks and money
orders should be made payable to UET Trust Account. Any check returned
for any reason is subject to a $50 processing fee. Only upon receipt of
reservation with deposit are we able to reserve you a place on the selected
program. The reservation alone does not ensure your placement. Placement
is on a first come, first serve basis. Payment of deposit is acknowledgment
that you agree to the terms and conditions as outlined here. Balance of
payment will be due to UET no later than 60 (for cruise programs 90 days)
days prior to departure.

Prices shown reflect a 4% discount
for payment by check or cash.
CANCELLATIONS
AND REFUNDS
Full refund less $200 (of deposit)
will be made for cancellation of the reservation by applicant, if received
by UET in writing 91 days prior to departure. A $400 (amount of deposit)
cancellation fee, plus a further forfeiture will be imposed as follows
for cancellations received in writing:

Airline tickets & cruise line arrangements
will be refunded according to the restrictions imposed by the airline or
cruise line companies (forfeiture of full deposit for cancellation of Amadeus Waterways cruises
if cancellations are received 120 days to 91 days prior to departure). Cancellation notices received Fridays after 4:00
pm. (PST) will be treated as if received Mondays 9:00 am. (PST).
SINGLE TRAVELERS
UET will make its best efforts to
match single travelers with suitable roommates. If this is not possible,
the single supplement has to be charged.
AIR TRANSPORTATION
Round-trip transportation will be
provided upon request from departure city to get-away destination city
at an additional cost, based on existing tariff. The passage contract in
use by the airlines concerned when issued, shall constitute the sole contract
between the airlines and the purchaser of the program, and/or the participant (please note that low fare
airline tickets are non-refundable, cannot be changed to other travel dates without penalty and
may not be convertible into travel vouchers).
REVISION
FEES
A handling fee of $100 for each revision
(name, city, dates, etc.) will be charged for any alterations or amendments
made to a reservation.
TOUR DOCUMENTS
A tour document packet will be sent
to you 14-21 days before departure. If you request that your documents
be sent earlier, there is a $50 per person handling charge.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
A valid passport is required. USA
citizens do not need visas for tto Europe, visas are required
for travel to China and for countries in the Middle East. UET cannot and
will not be responsible for any delays, damages and/or losses, including
missed portions of the tour, which are related to missing travel documents
HOTELS
Accommodations are provided at hotels
shown in the itinerary, or at hotels of the same or similar quality. All
rooms have private bath.
PORTAGE
You will always be responsible for
taking your own luggage through customs. During your tour, UET will try
as much as possible to provide porters and assistance with your luggage
whenever possible, but you must understand that this is not always possible
because porters are not available, the mentality is different, many hotels
simply do not provide portage, etc., so you should be prepared to carry
your own luggage whenever necessary.
LIABILITY
EXCLUSIONS

Simi Valley, CA 93063 (hereinafter referred to as the Tour Operator) is
responsible for making the tours offered by UET. The responsibility of
the Tour Operator and/or its representatives and/or its agents is limited.
The Tour Operator acts only as an agent for the tour participants in all
matters connected with the tour transportation, hotel & dining services,
sightseeing tours, and other services, including all transportation whether
by air, motorcoach, rail, car boat, or by any other means. The Tour Operator
does not own, manage, control or operate any transportation vehicle, any
hotel or restaurant, or any other suppliers or services related to this
tour program. The Tour Operator acts only on behalf of hotels, airlines,
cruise lines, bus companies and/or owners, operators or contractors (all
hereinafter called Contractors) providing services in connection with these
tours; and all tickets, receipts, coupons and vouchers are issued subject
to the terms and conditions specified by these Contractors. As an agent,
the Tour Operator holds itself free of responsibility for any damage, injury,
or loss resulting from any cause. By accepting the coupons and tickets,
or utilizing the services, tour participants agree that neither the Tour
Operator nor its representatives and/or agents shall be liable for any
loss, or additional expense, injury, or damage to the tour participants
or their belongings or otherwise in connection with any accommodation,
transportation or other services, resulting directly or indirectly from
any other occurrences beyond the control of the Tour Operator, including
breakdown in equipment, strikes, acts of God, fire, acts of government
or authorities, wars, whether declared or not, riots, theft, pilferage,
epidemics, quarantines, medical or custom regulations, delays, cancellations
or changes in itinerary or schedules, etc. Any agreement between Tour Operator
and any travel agent, passenger air carrier, hotel, ground operator, or
other tour operator shall be valid only when accepted in writing by Tour
Operator’s authorized representative at the office of Tour Operator’s principal
place of business. The Tour Operator reserves the right to withdraw and/or
to cancel a tour or to make changes in the itinerary whenever, in its sole
judgment, conditions warrant it. If the Tour Operator cancels the tour,
it shall have no responsibility beyond the refund of all moneys paid to
the Tour Operator by tour participant. The Tour Operator reserves the right
to decline accepting or retaining any person as a member of the tour at
any time should such person’s health or general deportment or attitude,
in the Tour Operator's sole judgment, impede the operations of the tour.
If such person is asked to leave while the tour is in progress, that person
will be responsible for charges incurred by their departure from the tour
or their return to the USA. The Tour Operator will refund any moneys which
can be recovered for their unused portion of the tour, and there will be
no further obligation or liability on the part of the Tour Operator.
BAGGAGE
UET shall not be responsible in any
way for the loss or damage to the tour member’s baggage.
INSURANCE
UET strongly recommends that each
tour member has health, accident, baggage and trip cancellation insurance
for the duration of his/her travels.
