Over the years
this has proven to be one of our most successful tours focusing on the
glories of China. We begin in China's capital, Beijing, with visits to
the Summer Palace, Forbidden City, Great Wall and more. Next to Xian to
see the army of terra-cotta effigies guarding China's first emperor. At
Wuhan, embark on a fascinating five-day cruise on the Yangtze River. We
sail on the deluxe (5-star) Royal East Queen or Royal East King into the
heart of the country, gliding past friendly villages through the scenic
Three Gorges. Our cruise ends at the city of Chongqing, China's temporary
wartime capital, where we board a flight to the scenic Guilin. There we
board the second cruise on the picturesque Li River before flying to Shanghai,
once the "Paris of the East." Our last stop is the "Eastern Venice" city--Suzhou,
where we take the third cruise of this trip on a small dragon boat along
the famous Grand Canal.

The tour begins
in Shanghai, known as the "Paris of the East" and then takes a first class
train to Suzhou. After a flight to Yichang a deluxe five days Yangtze river
cruise starts to go upstream aboard the exclusive (5 star) Royal
Royal East King (Henry Kissinger and Bill Gates
were among the many illustrious guests enjoying voyages aboard this ship).Through
the famous Three Gorges and past picturesque villages the cruise ship
reaches Chongqing. From there a flight brings tour participants to Guillin
for another cruise along the magical Li river. After a visit to Xian and
the stunning Terra Cotta Army of China's first emperor Qin Shi Huang, the
tour ends in Beijing.
